About the title
The first film in the trilogy about the incredible adventures of Commissioner Juve, who is pursuing the elusive criminal Fantômas. Paris is shaken by the sensational, brazen crimes committed by the mysterious villain named Fantômas. The entire police force is thrown into catching him, but Fantômas is virtually uncatchable — he constantly changes his appearance, deftly slipping through the hands of justice. Only Commissioner Juve manages to pick up his trail, with the help of Hélène, the girlfriend of the kidnapped journalist Fandor.
