About the title
The film introduces viewers to the Walkers, a slightly fractured but loving family whose members are all quite different from one another. Shortly before Christmas, the Walkers visit an observatory, where they meet a mysterious woman. At the mother's request, she takes a photo of the constantly bickering relatives. The next day, the Walkers wake up at home to find they've swapped bodies. Businesswoman Jess has turned into her 17-year-old soccer-playing daughter, while the daughter has become her mother. The family's father, Bill, finds himself in his son's body. And the youngest Walker child has swapped places with the family dog, named Pickles.
