About the title
Young chess prodigy Fahim is forced to leave his native Bangladesh with his father and finds refuge in Paris. There the boy meets grumpy Sylvain, one of France's finest grandmasters. Their mutual dislike grows into a friendship that gives them both a new meaning in life, bringing bitter defeats as well as dizzying victories.
