About the title
Mountaineering... In society, this word is associated with adventure, with tales of heroic ascents of hard-to-reach peaks. It is also linked to death — the ultimate consequence of the dangers mountaineers face. Through the lens of the mainstream press, mountaineering is seen as an elite and dangerous pursuit. What if mountaineering had another side — a little-known practice, more accessible than one might think? And what if more and more women were taking it up?
