Sara, a former special forces officer, is ready to start a new life in the US with her son Joshua, far from the traumas of her military past. But during a routine visit to the US consulate in Frankfurt, Joshua disappears. None of the consulate staff remember him entering the building, so Sara is accused of lying and ordered to leave the premises. The consulate is inviolable American soil, off-limits to German police — and leaving would mean losing her chance to find her son forever. The desperate mother takes a desperate step and secretly stays hidden in the labyrinth of consular corridors. But the deeper Sara digs into her search, the more clearly she realizes she has become a pawn in someone else's game.
