Dramatic events begin in the life of a woman named Stephanie, who is raising her child entirely alone. One day she gets a chance at happiness and becomes engaged to a lonely man named Jameson. But soon after the engagement, Stephanie receives a strange note containing a threat. The unknown sender tells her that if she does not break off the engagement, her daughter will be kidnapped. Stephanie is deeply worried by these threats and afraid of losing her child, but she cannot bring herself to leave the man she loves either — she waited too long for him.
