About the title
The story centers on three men, no longer young, who have achieved success in life but cannot come to terms with their daughters' choices. Each is displeased with the young men his daughter has chosen. They dread the thought of these arrogant young men joining their families as sons-in-law. None of the men can allow this nightmare to happen, so they join forces to break up their daughters' relationships.
