About the series
The Heist of the Century is a crime drama based on real events from 1994, when fourteen robbers held up the National Bank of the Republic without firing a single shot. The criminals made off with an incredible haul, stealing 24 billion pesos, or 33 million dollars. The screenplay is based on the book "How I Robbed a Bank" by Colombian writer and journalist Alfredo Serrano Zabala. Such a bold and brazen crime shocked law enforcement, who turned all of Colombia upside down to find the perpetrators.
