About the title
Having despaired of curing her illness through traditional medicine, Nadya persuades her husband Andrei to go on a trip to healing lakes. Andrei agrees. On this trip, far from his stern father-in-law, he plans to tell Nadya about the divorce. But nature intervenes in the heroes' plans. Because of the rain that has begun, the water in the river rises, cutting off the way home. Searching for a crossing, Andrei and Nadya get lost in the remote Siberian taiga. From this moment begins their difficult journey of fighting their fears and working through past mistakes. Only here, on the brink of life and death, do they truly come to know themselves and each other.
