About the title
Widow Violet goes on her first date in years and is a little nervous. But contrary to her most pessimistic expectations, everything goes wonderfully, and her companion turns out to be a pleasant and interesting conversationalist. Suddenly the woman starts receiving anonymous messages in which an unknown person threatens to kill her young son unless Violet follows the criminal's instructions.
