About the title
Two fallen angels, Loki and Bartleby, condemned to spend eternity stuck in Wisconsin, learn that they have a chance to return to heaven. All they need to do is take advantage of a flawed Catholic church dogma proclaimed by an innovative cardinal: anyone who passes through the consecrated arch of a cathedral in New Jersey receives absolution. Having passed through it, Loki and Bartleby will be forgiven, after which they need only become mortal, die, and return to heaven. There's just one catch: if this happens, everything on Earth will cease to exist, including the human race. The only one who can stop this is the great-great... great-great-niece of Jesus Christ, named Bethany, who is helped by the thirteenth apostle Rufus and two mortal prophets, one played by the director himself and the other by his friend Jason Mewes. They are joined by a Muse named Serendipity, who has long lived on Earth and works part-time as a stripper...
