About the title
The story of life in a small fishing village on Absheron, a peninsula on the coast of the Caspian Sea. A girl named Sara, whose father disappears while fishing, refuses to believe he is gone, since his body has never been found. However, Sara's family and the villagers insist on holding a funeral, even a formal one — the elders are convinced that the unburied fisherman is the cause of all the misfortunes befalling the village one after another. Sara rebels and goes against the will and customs of her family. Nature seems to protest along with her — a storm is approaching, and Sara sets out into the raging sea to search for her father.
