About the series
In each episode of the show, host Mike Rowe performs a strange, dirty, and sometimes downright disgusting job alongside people for whom it is a profession. Throughout the workday, Mike acts as a full-fledged assistant and has no right to refuse the duties assigned to him. During the show, the host often jokes about what he has to do, but always treats the people who work there every day with respect. Despite the dirt, discomfort, and inconvenience, Mike never loses his optimism and keeps improving.
