About the title
Scott Brennan is the father of a teenage daughter, Jane, with whom he has a difficult relationship following a tragic event that took his wife's life and left his daughter deaf. Jane blames her father for her mother's death, and Scott refuses to learn sign language. To earn money for his daughter's surgery, Scott takes on a shady job — clearing out an abandoned house. But the job offer turns into a tragedy for him and his daughter. They are taken hostage, and a pair of sadists force them to dig into the ground to retrieve something hidden beneath the house. Scott and Jane aren't meant to be left alive once the job is done, so they have only one chance to survive — escape.
