About the title
Back in 2000, Juan, Pepo, Roger and Costa, on the verge of adulthood, dreamed of a wild road trip across Europe, but their adventure ended — along with their friendship — because of an unexpected incident. Twenty years later, three of them meet again at a notary's office and learn that Juan, who has died after a long illness, has left them a fortune of 600,000 euros, but on one condition: the friends must finish the journey they started and take his urn of ashes with them. So three forty-year-old men, now virtual strangers to one another and from very different walks of life, set off on the adventure they once dreamed of in their youth. But sleeping on night trains, dancing until dawn, alcohol and cheap food — everything that once seemed thrilling and enticing — now becomes a real ordeal for them.
