About the title
The Winnetou tribe is in a desperate situation. The Indians face terrible famine, as the buffalo herds that used to pass through their lands every year have not appeared. As the chief's son, young Winnetou wants to prove to his father that he is brave and can become a great warrior. To save his tribe, he sets off on a dangerous adventure.
