About the title
Evan Hansen is a high schooler suffering from social anxiety, which leaves him without friends. To cope with his condition, on his doctor's advice he writes a letter to himself, which ends up in the hands of another student, Connor. A few days later, Evan learns that Connor has committed suicide.
