About the title
The events of the film take place in 2509 in the Aegis VII system, when contact was lost with the spaceship Ishimura and, later, with the spaceship O'Bannon. A search vessel finds the O'Bannon drifting among asteroid debris. A special forces squad finds four survivors (Nick Kartner, Alejandro, Nolan Stross, Isabel Cho). Nick kills one of the squad's members, causing the squad to knock out the survivors and carry them unconscious aboard the search vessel. The O'Bannon is destroyed. The chief investigator is ordered by his superiors to interrogate the survivors. Nick Kartner is called in first, forcibly taken to the interrogation room.
