About the title
The film tells the difficult story of nine-year-old Andrei, whose childhood is overshadowed by a lack of parental love and care. One day during a storm, the boy finds a dead dog on the shore and mistakes it for a Chupacabra — a mythical creature that, according to popular belief, attacks domestic animals and feeds on their blood. Andrei decides that the creature he found possesses magical powers and can give him the life he has always dreamed of.
