About the series
The story takes place in the summers of 1993, 1994, and 1995. In a small Texas town, a beautiful and popular girl named Kate goes missing. With no apparent connection, a girl named Jeanette transforms from sweet and awkward into the most popular girl in town, and by 1995 she becomes the most despised person in all of America.
