About the series
Based on the novel of the same name by Irvine Welsh. Detective Inspector Ray Lennox investigates the disappearance of a schoolgirl and confronts his own demons, unwittingly identifying with the victim. Convinced that a serial killer known as Mr. Confectioner is behind the crime, he tries everything to convince his superiors. But the police believe the maniac is already behind bars, and Lennox's persistence not only leads to a conflict at work but also draws the Confectioner's attention.
