About the series
The action of "Cowboy" unfolds in an ultra-stylized, fairy-tale-like space essentially devoid of any geographical anchoring. At the center of the story is the mysterious girl Miu, who is presented to us as a living talisman, like a Japanese porcelain cat — a person who brings good luck simply by her presence. It is in that capacity that she ends up in a Serbian-Albanian brothel. This is only Miu's first stop on a journey that could loosely be called a quest for justice, though it's not that simple.
