About the title
A stiff English gentleman arrives to visit a French château where he once met his first love. Since then the estate has fallen into disrepair, the servants have all left, and the guest is mistaken for the long-awaited butler. To restore the château and its lovely mistress to their former glory, Mr. Blake has at his disposal some well-worn equipment, a drinking-buddy caretaker, a pregnant housekeeper, and a cat. The cat, at least, is perfect.
