A parasitic fungus breaks free from the lowest level of a former US military base, where it was sealed away by the government decades earlier. Rising underground temperatures trigger the reproduction of this contagious, rapidly mutating organism. It begins to affect everyone in the complex, taking control of their minds and destroying their bodies. Tiquake and Naomi work at a self-storage facility that has been set up on the grounds of the former base. Now, with the help of a retired bioterrorism specialist, they must contain the threat and prevent the extinction of humanity.
