About the title
Unlucky young scientist-inventor Flint Lockwood has constant bad luck: first his wonder-TV ran away, then his rat-birds flew off and were thoroughly disliked by the residents of his small town, which makes its living catching sardines. But one fine — or perhaps not so fine — day, sardines fall out of demand, and the townspeople are forced to eat this product for both lunch and dinner. Flint comes to the aid of his starving fellow sufferers by inventing an incredible machine that turns water into food... Will the young man cope with the sudden popularity and the situation if everything spirals out of control?
