About the series
The series is based on the novel of the same name by Aro Sáinz de la Maza. In Barcelona, a body engulfed in flames is discovered on one of Gaudí's most famous creations. Suspended police inspector Milo Malart returns to duty and, together with deputy inspector Rebeca Garrido, investigates this mysterious crime. "Shadow City" is a new Spanish Netflix thriller about a troubled police detective and his unusual partner investigating ritual murders in Barcelona. The series features many striking shots of the city's most historic sites, and the strange policeman has mental health problems — but will that be enough to make the series stand out?
