About the title
The protagonist, Sakshi, is eight months pregnant. Cast out of her home, she and her husband find refuge in a farmhouse. Sakshi doesn't yet know that this house, surrounded by endless sugarcane fields, holds a sinister, mysterious history. An elderly couple also lives in the house, and the pair are clearly hiding a secret of their own. Could it be a secret about evil forces threatening Sakshi's child? Or perhaps it's not otherworldly forces that should be feared, but the living?
