About the title
Dmitry is a popular actor, an action-movie star. Audiences love him for his tough-guy image with an impenetrable face. One day Dmitry receives an offer from Sergei, a stern but very wealthy businessman from Siberia, to star as a cold-blooded hitman in a crime drama about the 1990s. Sergei offers Dmitry's agent a fee ten times the usual rate. They agree. During filming, Dmitry is accidentally wounded by a shotgun blast. After a simple operation he is ready to return to shooting, but faces an unexpected side effect: he now smiles constantly, expressing any emotion through laughter. Dmitry has no chance of quitting the film and "upsetting" Sergei, who clearly knows exactly what he's making a movie about firsthand.
