About the title
After unprecedented wildfires in Australia, many wild animals find themselves on the brink of extinction and are forced to leave their familiar habitats. An aspiring documentary filmmaker named Bailey teams up with field biologist Ben and his girlfriend Grace to head deep into the Australian bush and track rare animals using camera traps. The young crew suddenly comes face to face with a carnifex — a deadly marsupial lion believed to have gone extinct tens of thousands of years ago.
