About the title
Will drops out of Harvard to head into the Colorado Rockies with a party of buffalo hunters. He doesn't know how to kill or skin animals, but he's full of boyish enthusiasm and rich enough to fund the whole expedition. The team is led by the mysterious hunter Miller, the only one who knows the way to a hidden valley where thousands of animals graze. But what price will they have to pay for such riches?
