About the title
Petrovich, a failed artist drinking away the remnants of his talent in a garage, decides to end his life. Climbing to the roof of a Moscow high-rise, he takes the final step into the abyss — but lands on the brand-new BMW belonging to Edik, a cynical pharmacy business owner with a criminal past. Miraculously surviving, the now-unemployed Petrovich owes the cost of the wrecked "beamer" — 10 million. Forgiving others isn't in Edik's nature, but for the fun of it he hires Petrovich at his firm as creative director — not yet knowing that everything is about to turn upside down in the most unexpected way, because the universe, as we know, has a great sense of humor.
