About the title
The film is based on true events. Young Eric O'Neill is assigned to a new unit created within the FBI. Eric is thrilled — he dreams of becoming the best agent ever to serve in the U.S. federal forces. However, he quickly realizes the true reason behind his assignment. O'Neill must expose his boss and mentor, Agent Hanssen, who, hiding behind the mask of a man of impeccable moral character, is actually selling secret FBI information. Suddenly Eric finds himself at the center of a spy game. With no one to turn to for help, he must rely solely on his own strength as he enters a fight from which no one has ever come out alive…
