About the title
After riots by fans, England is disqualified from the European Cup, and Russia's national team takes its place. In just two weeks, coach Sorokin must assemble a team from forgotten and scandal-ridden players. Each has his own problems and ambitions, and instead of a cohesive squad he ends up with a disjointed group of "washed-up has-beens" who aren't ready to play together.
