About the title
Summer 1928. A simple factory worker, Anton Inokentyevich Petushkin, thanks to a chance meeting with director Eisenstein, gets the role of Leon Trotsky in his film "October." But soon Trotsky falls out of favor, and Lyovushka, as he was nicknamed by the film crew, is left without work. Considering himself a talented actor, he decides to head to Hollywood, where his talent will be duly appreciated. On the way from Russia to America, Lyovushka ends up at a luxurious villa in northern Germany, where a young, wealthy, eccentric aristocrat takes him under her wing. Meanwhile, rumors spread around the estate about either Chinese fleas or vampires sucking the blood of the common people.
