About the title
In October 1993, civil war rages in Somalia, and the humanitarian catastrophe worsens, caused by warlord Mohamed Farrah Aidid, who seizes all UN food trucks for his own needs. The US Army is forced to intervene, sending roughly 100 rangers into the hot spot of Mogadishu to capture two of Aidid's field commanders. As a result of clashes with a superior enemy force and an enraged mob, the Americans lose two "Black Hawk" helicopters shot down, turning the mission into a prolonged and dangerous rescue operation.
