About the title
After some kind of global catastrophe, only two people remain on Earth — Ray and Billy. They live in a special self-contained dome and depend on fish they raise in an artificial pond, but one day the only female fish dies. The two friends fall into despair, since soon they will have nothing to eat. Hope for survival appears when one of the two remaining males changes sex, but suddenly Billy's body also begins to undergo frightening changes.
