About the title
In 2007, 19-year-old soldier Billy Lynn and his platoon go into battle in Iraq. The firefight is captured by embedded journalists, and the footage spreads across every news channel. Billy and his fellow soldiers become national heroes and return to America for a two-week promotional tour, culminating in a halftime show at a Thanksgiving Day football game. After that, they must head back to war.
