About the series
Alexei Vyazintsev discovers that several books by the forgotten Soviet writer Gromov possess magical properties. Each of these books grants a specific effect: Fury, Patience, Power, Joy, Strength, Memory. Various groups of readers wage a fierce struggle for them, forming a secret network of "Libraries" with their own code, rules, and goals. Impoverished doctors and engineers, former convicts and policemen, forgotten athletes, journalists left behind by the times — all of them have found new meaning in Gromov's books and are ready to die for them. Vyazintsev must now search for the most important book of all — the Book of Meaning. Based on the novel of the same name by Mikhail Elizarov.
