About the title
Talented photographer Jamie meets brilliant physicist Isaac, who is researching parallel worlds and the possibility of traveling between them. The couple is planning a vacation together in the Azores when Isaac suddenly disappears, and his body is soon found on a riverbank. This reawakens a childhood trauma in Jamie that gives her a panicked fear of water, but after finding his diary, she realizes the answer to his mysterious disappearance may lie on the islands, and decides to go there alone.
