About the title
Four friends who fought in the war in Afghanistan return home. They come to Moscow, where they try to adapt to peaceful life. One goes into business, another into private security, and another becomes a writer. After 20 years apart, the fellow soldiers meet at a cemetery to bury a comrade who died of a heart attack. In the early '90s, the film's characters face society's rejection of the Afghan campaign: no one believes in their awards, and people assume the orders and medals were bought. The former soldiers are ashamed to appear in public in uniform, and they prefer not to dwell on their past. Twenty years later, their friendship and love for their homeland are put to the test of time.
