About the title
Retired General Khadyakov has just turned 60, and he decides to celebrate his birthday not on Patriarch's Ponds but in a real Russian village — with full immersion, a festive feast, a banya, fishing, and a countryside spa. All the beloved characters are invited, but the celebration doesn't go according to plan. The residents of Patriarch's Ponds manage to turn the locals against them, fall out with each other, and end up without any food.
