About the title
Yuri Detochkin can't stay indifferent when someone nearby is living dishonestly. He himself works as an agent at an insurance company, which gives him both the free time and the means to track down crooks. And he fights swindlers and thieves by stealing their cars. The persistent car thief is being hunted by a policeman — the very man with whom Detochkin performs in an amateur theater.
