About the title
The likeable young auto mechanic Benny Pearl (Aidan Quinn) has practically no personal life. He devotes all his time to caring for his mentally ill sister Joon (Mary Stuart Masterson). The girl needs constant supervision, but Benny adores his sister and doesn't even think of parting with her, even though he constantly hears hundreds of complaints. The young man's only joy is playing poker with friends. One day Benny loses to his friend, and has to take his friend's cousin Sam (Johnny Depp) into his home. The kind and gentle young man immediately takes a liking to Joon, and she takes a liking to the new resident of the house too...
