About the title
After her father's death, Lydia returns with her daughter Astrid and stepmother Delia to the old house in the town of Winter River. When Astrid discovers the same model of the town in the attic, Lydia has to tell her about Beetlejuice — a mischievous and thoroughly unpleasant ghost whose name must never be spoken three times. But the girl's curiosity gets the better of her, and she opens a portal to the afterlife. Beetlejuice begins terrorizing the living once again.
