About the series
An adaptation of Raphaëlle Bacqué's bestseller "Kaiser Karl." The series tells the story of the rise of a complex and iconic figure, driven by ambitions to become the emperor of fashion — from an unknown clothing designer in 1972 to chief designer of the Italian fashion house Fendi and the French house Chanel, which Lagerfeld headed until his death.
