About the title
Sergio Diotallevi, serving a sentence in an Algerian prison, is released and sent to Italy thanks to the intervention of an unknown person. In return, he is asked to do a small job: retrieve documents from an abandoned house. Upon arriving, Sergio realizes that a family — a married couple and their adult daughter — lives in the house. Thus begins a chain of violent events for both the family and the former convict.
