About the series
"Bad Monkey" grabs you right away with its unconventional turn of events. A human hand is found, but neither we nor the main characters know whether it was an accident or a crime. There's no body, and no murder weapon either. There's more than enough suspicious characters, and new victims keep appearing in the case. First, the guy from the yacht where the suspicious body part was caught dies. Then Nick's close friend is killed; he had been drinking heavily lately and was clearly hiding something. Since the events unfold on the sunny coast of Florida, the series has a light-hearted tone. It seems as though no crime could possibly happen in such a paradise. The jokes of the charismatic Yancy also lighten the mood - even at gunpoint, he's sure to crack a pun.
