About the title
The Snow Queen and Father Frost were once old friends who together mastered the magic of cold. But their paths diverged when the Snow Queen, envious of her friend's power, stole the magical artifact from which Father Frost drew his strength and worked his magic. The wizard managed, not without difficulty, to defeat the sorceress and imprisoned her in an icy jail. Thousands of years later, in our time, a boy named Yura finds the Snow Queen's ice staff at a New Year's fair and unwittingly sets her free. Returning to the modern world, she decides to take revenge on her sworn friend and devises a cunning plan to freeze the whole world on New Year's Eve. For this purpose, she kidnaps the boy and takes him to her icy kingdom. To thwart her schemes and save not only Yura but the entire world, Father Frost will need the help of the sorceress Baba Yaga, Ivan Tsarevich, Marya the Craftswoman, and other magical creatures.
