About the series
The series centers on the story of Aziz Paydar (Murat Yıldırım), son of the Paydar family, the largest and only carpet manufacturer in Antakya. Their family lives a life of prosperity and wealth. Aziz's fate changes when he accidentally kills Lieutenant André, the son of the French ambassador, Monsieur Pierre. Unable to prove his innocence, Aziz abandons his family, the woman he loves, and his business, and flees to save his life. Two years later, Aziz returns. Nothing is as it was before. Aziz has not only lost everything he owned, but Antakya, under French occupation, has become even worse than when he left it. Very few are happy about his return. His beloved, Dilruba (Damla Sönmez), for instance, is engaged to his uncle Adem's son. Everyone is unhappy to see Aziz, for various reasons...
