About the title
Fiona and Grant, a married couple from Ontario, have been married for more than 40 years. Now, as their lives draw toward their end, they're forced to admit that Fiona's "forgetfulness" is actually a sign of Alzheimer's disease, and that she needs treatment. For the first time in many years, the couple faces a long separation. Under the care facility's rules, visitors aren't allowed during the first month, so the patient can more easily adjust to her new surroundings. When Grant finally visits Fiona, he's horrified to discover that she has not only forgotten him, but has given her heart to another man.
